The company published what it says is an AI-generated solution to the Navier–Stokes existence and smoothness problem, one of mathematics’ seven Millennium Prize Problems.

Regardless of how that dispute develops, the event represents a striking example of AI being applied to take us farther than humans have been able to.

OpenAI released ChatGPT Images 2.5, with sharper detail, stronger reference-image fidelity, more precise editing, and better consistency across multiple edits. OpenAI says image generation latency has been reduced by up to 50% compared with Images 2.0. New features include Sketch, templates, comments for targeted edits, and prompt sharing. Images 2.5 is rolling out across ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work, and Codex on all tiers.
